We will be discussing this music vid in my US Third World feminisms course tomorrow. This is “Shock” by Ana Tijoux - this song and vid addresses the struggle by students in chile demanding free public education to all. Also a play on “shock doctrine” - anyway given that we are in AZ and I’m having my undergrads read a quite a few of the authors that were recently banned from being taught in TUSD schools, I though it would make a good bridge for thinking about and talking about Chela Sandoval’s differential consciousness and the emergence of US third world feminism.
